Field trip to Kasubi Army school

This morning I went to a public school in Gulu.  It was a much different school than I am used to back home.  The rooms are much smaller, with no electricity and there were 100 students in each classroom.  They go to school from 830 in the morning to 5 in the evening.

This is the total amount of students in the elementary school.

This is me taking part in a social studies lesson.

Props!

The two principals of the primary and secondary school.

The cook who cooks for over 2000 kids every day!

Me in a different classroom.

Funny sign.

  2. Thomas, school in Gulu sounds really hard. What kind of work were the students our age doing? Hugh

  3. Hugh - in the class I was in, P5, alot of the kids were 12 years old, some were also younger. The school work was about the same as what we do in Vancouver. For that lesson we learned about the Ugandan flag.
